Già mesi addietro la nostra redazione si era accorta di una cosa molto importante, poiché assolutamente non scontata visti i periodi di grande difficoltà vissuti nel corso degli anni da diversi prodotti della casa di Kyoto: il supporto terze parti verso Nintendo Switch 2 dava già forti segnali di crescita, facendo ben sperare per il proseguo della generazione. Qualcosa che, andando a rivedere, avevamo già anticipato prima del lancio della console next gen come possibile elemento di ulteriore crescita del prodotto, rispetto ai fasti già toccati da una Nintendo Switch da record, quella di prima generazione che ha saputo senza dubbio trovare la giusta strada commerciale con il form factor ibrido, diventando pietra angolare dell’intera industria.
Ma nemmeno nelle nostre più rosee previsioni avremmo potuto immaginare un periodo “ex-E3” così caldo!
Nell’arco di pochi giorni, infatti, sono stati davvero tantissimi i titoli terze parti svelati per Nintendo Switch 2, pronta a festeggiare nel migliore dei modi il primo anno di vita commerciale; progetti di diversa natura e tipo, capaci di coprire generi e stili ampi e variegati, portando con sé tanto vecchi porting finalmente disponibili anche in versione ibrida, quanto inaspettate versioni Nintendo di progetti ancora in là da venire, piuttosto che veri e propri annunci ed esclusive. Insomma, soltanto pochi mesi addietro sarebbe stato impensabile vedere confermati al lancio per l’hardware di Kyoto o svelati in anteprima in un Direct opere del calibro di Call of Duty (di ritorno dopo tantissimi anni, con l’ultimi episodio uscito sullo sfortunato Wii U), Kingdom Hearts 4, conferme come quelle di Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis o Onimusha, l’intera saga di Wo Long a far da apripista a numerosi “souls-like” come Lies of P o Stellar Blade (precursori di un supporto koreano che era mancato nella scorsa generazione) e via discorrendo.

Una lista interminabile, che fa ben sperare per tutto quello che sarà l’arco vitale della Nintendo Switch 2 sul mercato, tenendo presente come le vendite della console stessa siano state ad oggi da record e come, pur con l’aumento di prezzo in arrivo e un potenziale calo di interesse passato il periodo iniziale, l’arrivo di tutti questi possa dare ulteriore spinta al pacchetto di esperienze possibili solo su Switch 2, data la sua natura ibrida e l’uscita di sempre più esclusive first party (a partire dal remake di The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!).
